Finally dragged the boys and girls up north into using 1980s technology. Uses an HTPB propellant, too. I don’t have any insight into the nozzle. Sure seems to be a structural failure but the video has what might be a flare in the plume just prior to the exit cone shredding. Might just be the cone on the far side of the shot letting go first. The best thing about not being involved is having to work with the propulsion engineering VP. All fluff and little substance. I first met him in the late 80s when he was a t NASA. Never been a fan, but I’m sure the charts will be snazzy.
