You're still going to have drugs and human trafficking, just at a higher price in terms of real dollars and lives.

The demand for drugs will still be there, as will the people willing to take necessary risks to supply the drugs. If the wall succeeds in making it more difficult they will simply raise the price. Folks won't stop pumping dope into their arms over a spike in prices. Crime may very well increase here though, as users will need to take from somebody to feed their suddenly more costly addictions.

And, people will still risk life and limb to live here, it'll just cost more now, making the cartels even richer. Brilliant plan all the way around.
