We are just going thru watching someone with no relevant experience or background try to hit homeruns but struggling. Why it the world would we want to turn to someone else with no relevant experience or background try to hit homeruns while going the opposite direction we have been in for 200 years? I get that no one likes the routine politicians but goodness how can there not be a few good people with a history of solving problems we are asking to be solved? I learned a long time ago problem solvers need to have success at levels below complex before they are at all likely to have success with complex problems.
Maybe the bigger question is how do we get successful people into politics? I am embarrassed about how often we run people to Washington that have almost no ability to succeed at work before entering government. We have smart folks in this country, we just need to invent a way to get a few of them connected to government.
