F-22 and F-35 are well below the trend line

F-22 came in around 180 mil per aircraft in 2008, and was on course for $120 if they procured the 400 the Air Force requested. The F-35 is projected to decrease to $80 mil per aircraft in the next few years now that production moved from LRIP to FRP. (For what it's worth, a new F-16 costs around $75 mil).

The new bomber (B-21) requirements intentionally called for use of existing technologies to keep costs low. The Air Force wants numbers at this point, and knows the cost of developing unproven technology will limit the number of bombers it can buy.
