I don't think the finite part matters, because unlike existing fiat currencies, it is fungible (divisible) to some ungodly degree.

So in essence, even though the unit cap of full bitcoins is 21 million, it can be traded and allow for price adjustments on the right side of the decimal point instead of the left side like we are used to now.
I actually like that about it. I think. We'll see, the jury is still out.
