    Basketball Predictions

With basketball upon us, it's time for some early prognostications:

-The team finishes the regular season 24-9 everywhere except Utah County. There we finish 23-10 after a tough 12 point TDS loss is magically converted to a Poppinga Victory. Hey, if they can do it to 54-10 they are certainly capable of doing it to 78-66.

-Our three headed 5-spot averages a PAC 12 best 16 points and 12 rebounds, but because PAC sports writers are unable to spell Bachoetlson, give the award to Arizonas Witnewski, which is every bit as difficult to spell.

-Delon Wright is named first team all-PAC and second team all american. He is the only senior on the team joining six college freshman and three high school seniors that had recently signed to play at Duke.

-We go into the tournament a five seed and are placed in the same bracket at a high priced team coached by John Calipari.

-We knock off the number one team in the country when we beat the Wildcats at home. The 13 point win turns into a closer 6 point victory after a series of technical fouls a result of fans rushing the court prematurely.

-Coach K2 is offered the North Carolina coaching job buts turns it down primarily because he enjoys his off-seasons in SLC fighting crime from his bat cave deep below the Hunty.

-In an unprecedented reversal, the basketball team actually out draws our women's gymnastics team.

-Isaiah Wright steps up big time leaving us to look forward to another three years of being in the Wright hands. (Yeah, I know Im starting to struggle here)

-The team leads the league in free throw shooting and is 6-1 in games decided by three points or less, a nice turnaround from last year.

-Finally, even after getting to the elite eight, there will be more articles written in the local newspapers about Jimmers New Orleans NBA experience than of our beloved Utes.
