    Or else what?

It seems like every big game loss in basketball & football elicits posts proclaiming the writer's minimum acceptable performance like they were Martin Luther nailing his theses to the door.

The writers "EXPECT" this and that and proclaim what is "ACCEPTABLE" and "UNACCEPTABLE".

Or else what? Will you start cheering for ashley judd & Duke in March, and Alabama & Florida in January?

Will you put your Crimson Club donation in escrow until your minimum standards are met?

Will you stop going to the games?

It's college sports. It is an entertainment business. The Utes are in the big leagues now. Losing will come more often. The opposition is a lot better. The Utes play Arizona & UCLA in basketball and USC in football.

Beating UCLA on Jan 18 and taking #4 Az into overtime on Feb 19 were great games to attend - even though the Utes went 50%.

Both programs are making progress and will get better. The players are talented, go to class, graduate and I hope they stay in town after their playing days are over.

In the mean time, by golly, they're fun to watch, I'm glad I attend & follow the teams, and I'm happy to spend my entertainment dollars on Utah athletics.

And if the Utes go deep in the NIT, or win it, I will be even happier.
