I read Zoom Coogs opinions on how Utah is going to be over the next "two decades." He compared how Stanford is so much better than Utah and will continue to be because they did better than Utah this year...using that logic, BYU is doing better than North Carolina, yet few will say that NC is going down and BYU will pass them in talent because they have improved every year (last 2 years) unlike NC. Zoom Coog is very smart and I thought that I would make my own predictions for the next two decades (this shows his predictions were wrong, because I know mine will be right):
Utah will continue to show unbelievable dominance
over the next 2 decades. Rick Majerus will lead them for the next 2 years
before he goes to St. Marys and leads them to a national championship in
the year 2013. The Utes will rehire Jerry Pimm who recruits like a mother
and leads Utah to 6 straight sweet 16's. Drew Hansen then becomes coach
and leads Utah to a championship in the year 2016 and 2018. He is head
coach over former players Josh Grant and Jimmy Soto's kids.
The Utes have so many great players that in 20
years, Andre Miller will only be considered the 13th best player to play
for Utah in the past 25 years.
He mentioned how Stanford is so much better than Utah and that he says that Utah can't catch up...well, he is wrong...I checked...Stanford gets hit with a sanctions by the NCAA for having players that weren't as smart as they said they were...Stanford is so embarrassed that they drop major college basketball, yet with all the LDS players they have, they keep them playing Church ball where they win LDS region 2 years in a row.
BYU has good success for the next 3 years but that all crashes and burns when Cleveland is speaking at a fireside and says "You know what, you can be a good Mormon basketball player and not pick BYU and that's OK." He is immediately fired and BYU has a lapse of judgement and hires Robbie Reid as their Head Coach. Robbie gets Randy to be his assistant and his dad Roger to be the stregnth and conditioning coach. BYU goes in a tailspin and finishes 0-28 in the year 2017. They are also shut out by the Utes 55-0 in the first half of a game that year.
I also predict that Juddy will become a head coach at Southern Utah which then becomes the 2nd best team in state...they get all the good Mormon players down there...in a way, BYU becomes kind of like a Junior College...Moromon players that aren't ready for big time ball first play at BYU until Juddy decides they are ready and then he brings them down South. SUU is invited to play in the MoWestCo in the year 2012.
It is easy to make predictions for the next 20 years. I really believe I am right...every one of these things is correct. THanks Zoom Coog for helping me know that I too can give useless predictions for the next "two decades." Go Utes, I can't wait to rack up the championships.
