Seau's family suing NFL wrongful death

Curious what people think about this one. Seau knowingly engaged in a sport that has significant risks of injury due to the physical nature of play, but his family turns around and sues the league for wrongful death?

Knowing the risks, is this something that would make anyone on the board second guess allowing their kids to play?

Finishing the basement

Need some suggestions.

Mrs Horace and I have been kicking around the idea of finishing off our basement this year. I have an idea of what I would like to have down there, but she would like to have someone come in and take a look at things to give us some different options.

With that in mind, does anyone know of any good residential architects or firms that would be willing to come out and give us some ideas?

I plan on doing what work I can handle by myself, so framing, painting, running the wires, etc... and having others come in to do the bigger stuff like plumbing, texturing the walls, etc...

2. Would there be any interest amongst the board for a UFN golf league when the weather turns nice? I enjoy playing, but the problem I run into is finding people to play with. I am thinking it would be something where those of us that play can find others to fill out their group. Thoughts?

For Christmas my parents gave each of my kids a $25 check for their 529 plans, but wrote them out in their names rather than payable to UESP. Does anyone know if there is a way I can endorse the check on their behalf over to UESP, or cash it myself and write new checks out to UESP?

Tragedy in CT

I have been thinking all day about the events in CT and I have had a wide range of emotions and thoughts. There is one prevailing thought that keeps running through my head. I am an incredibly fortunate man who has two amazing sons to be thankful for. Those of you that have kids know that being a parent is hard work and sometimes it becomes easy to lose our patience, raise our voices, and express our frustrations in a less than productive way. I hate that it takes a tragedy like this to remind me, but as a parent I need to focus on giving my boys a hug when they are acting up, reminding them that I love them, and remembering that while I hope for a long and healthy life with my boys, there are no guarantees and every chance I have to spend time with them is a chance I will not get back if I do not take that opportunity. Hopefully if anything positive can come out of this tragedy for me, it will be a better realization of how truly fortunate I am and to never take anything for granted.
