I was stuck at work and could only listen to the game. It seems that there were a lot of holding calls when USU only rushed 4. Hope they can bounce back next week.
Utah used to get up for these type of games and pull of the upset. Now we "expect" to win because we have "superior" talent. But that talent is only as good as they want to be. I saw little effort with our receivers in getting open just like last year. This must be what UCLA feels like each year...
That being said, good job USU. I'll be rooting for you this year.
I have gone through 5 pairs of earbuds for my iPhone in the last 2 years. I have bought $10 ones from Wal-Mart up to $99 Skullcany and Zagg Smartbuds. They all start shorting out in one ear and eventually both. I keep the phone in my pocket as I work and so I can answer the phone without switching from music.
With that said does anyone knkow of a good DURABLE brand of earbuds that won't break at the cord just above the connector? It needs to have the mic and volume controls on the cord.
I would like to go to Rice-Eccles Stadium 7-8 times each year for Ute games!!!

I don't care how this happens or who we have to schedule outside of the PAC12. I am a semi-poor father of 3 young girls who saves each year to buy season tickets. Last year I took my two oldest girls (ages 5 and 2) to 2 games and had a blast. This year I dug deep and got one more ticket. Gotta get 'em now for the littlest one.
I want to do this as many times each year as possible because I still get asked by my 2 year old when we are going to watch "Go Utes."
I can't really afford to go to many away games unless it is to take my kids to Grammy's in Washington. Ironically, that is the only away game of which I will attend.
Seriously surprised that this would have been up considering the beat down it was. I had never seen the game on TV since I was in the MUSS at the time. I still got that goosebump feeling watching it. Anyone know how to pull this and make a digital copy?

Blame the voters of the Harris poll and Coaches poll. They count for 2/3 of the BCS formula. Everyone thinks that a playoff or +1 will fix things but it will only piss off those that didn't get in based on perception. If voters wanted to see OSU/LSU in the BS Champion game then all they have to do is vote it in.
I would love to have someone show me where the computer rankings overrode the pollsters in the BCS era, mostly because I am too busy at work and should be doiong other things.
The playoff and +1 idea is better than what we currently have but instead of pissing and moaning about #1 and #2 we will be pissing and moaning about 1,2,3 and 4, especailly if it was like this year where there were 2 conference champs and 2 non-conference champs.
One thing is for sure...no more Va Tech/Michigan or WVU and Clemson garbage.

Fact checking hasn't been ESPN's style lately. It has USU going to "back to back" bowl games for the first time in their history. Last year USU was 4-8...
Their schedule makes BYU's look like the SEC gauntlet. Their only potential win is against a #24 ranked Southern Miss in the C-USA Champ Game. Granted Houston has destroyed most of the teams that they have played but they barely squeaked by UCLA.
This team reminds me of Hawai'i in 2007 where they beat a ranked Boise St. at home and got destroyed in the Sugar Bowl by Georgia. I know that they have a QB that is breaking all the passing records (so did Hawai'i) and their offense is lights out but that has been against bottom-barrel competition. I would rather see 3 SEC teams in BCS bowls than this Houston team get utterly destroyed for 4 quarters.
Maybe this is because Utah is now AQ but every other team from a non-AQ conference that has made it has earned it through beating top-25 teams. Boise usually has 1 or 2, TCU has had a few with a top defense and Utah in 2008 had 4 including Alabama.
Crap like this is what is giving the Zoobs hope in making it to a BCS game with the schedules they have.

Listened to applesanchez and wife's album a couple of times today. Great earthy folk music with a beautiful voice. If you haven't heard it here's the link.
Does anyone know where I can get some kids gear other than the Red Zone? I just got more tickets for this weeks game and am taking my 2 girls with me (ages 5 and 2). My wife is very picky about clothes for the girls and she didn't like what we saw at the Red Zone.
This 18 year-old girl comes to my house with a note that says that she is painting house numbers on the curb in the area to help raise money for college. I know this girl's family and this will help her with books and room and board. The cost of this is 20 bucks and she will even put the Block U or Cougar Y next to the numbers for no extra cost. On my street are 2 devout Ute fans and a dozen Zoobs. The Ute fans pay for the Block U and so does the Aggie fan in between them to spite the neighborhood. No one else.
I have to think that 20 bucks isn't a big deal to most especially since I know that everyone on the block can afford it. I expected to see 12 Y's and 2 U's on my street but there are just 2 U's. I hope this PAC12 and Indy thing is letting the air out of TDS fans all over.
