Just a few thoughts on the zoobie meltdown...

I have to admit that I'm in the group that finds it funny when the shine comes off the hallowed halls of cougardom. I think many of us see it as the karma we all expected to come around... eventually. You can't be that arrogantly high and not have a great fall. And, as sick as it may be, I laugh at them all the way down.
But here are just some random thoughts:
1. Jan Jorgensen
He's upset because the fanbase he chose over Utah, and the team he said was better than Utah... now isn't what he declared it to be? Janno... you've watched a Utah team you could have been a part of... go to the BCS twice and beat your high and mighty boys even when they didn't. Must be painful whenever you play under the boos, while listening to the cheers from the north.
2. "It's definitely getting to them," Hill said. "When you don't want to play in your own stadium? Come on. These guys aren't getting booed anywhere else."
At least when the zoo comes running out of their tunnel at the start of the rivalry game to a chorus of boos, they'll be used to it. Maybe they won't know which fans are booing, exactly, but still... And when a player talks about the poor treatment he received from fans, maybe the media won't be so quick to assume it was a fan in red... eh?
3. Jaime Hill
I find it interesting that no one in the media wants to mention that zoobie DC Jaime Hill is black. Egg his car, zoobie fans? Yep... that's the way to get better athletes (and coaches, for that matter) to your school. Why is it hard to get black players to play at BYU? It's not because they can't handle the Honor Code. It's not because they can't handle the academic standards. It's not because they can't drink or do drugs or have sex (you have plenty of players doing all of the above, let's be honest...). It's because you're a bunch of douche bags, and no one wants to live for four years among douche bags. No one. (And if you don't believe your fanbase is as bad as their reputation, look at the above excuses for why you can't recruit black players. If you don't think they're racist... you're a douche bag.)
I hope Morgan "The Recruitinator" Scalley is paying attention. Morgan: "Do you really want to play someplace where the fans will boo you in your home stadium and harass you on the street? Or would you rather live in a real city and win BCS bowl games in front of screaming, adoring fans?"
4. Hero to Goat
Man, they eat their own quickly in Happy Valley. Maybe the oxycoton or Prozac has worn off? Hill's defense was mostly responsible for beating Oklahoma (not Anae's offense), yet he's the goat for getting beaten by better teams? It's not Hill's fault that the zoobie O-line couldn't protect a canary from a cat. It's not Hill's fault that Heismax is color blind.
Lighten up, zoobies. The MWC championship is not your annual playtoy. You can't win them all (regardless of what the 80s taught you).
5. UPS truckload of hate emails
For two years and two championships, Bronco was a genius. He was the apostle of football who would again lead the zoobies to the promised land. Now he's an idiot.
I guess that's coaching. But it's just funnier coming from Provo.
