NEW: Notre Dame wasnt stopping Bama. Nor were they going to score. They were completely outclassed all night long. That would not have made any difference. (nm)

NEW: I only say it because confidence early for a redshirt freshman *could* go a long way. They may have figured out that they actually could score. Like I said, I don't think they win the game, but it *might* have been closer. (nm)

NEW: There is no way to know this. Momentum is 9/10ths of the game. Had ND scored on those two drives and gone up 14-7, the entire game could have changed. Or, it could have still ended in a rout.

NEW: Despite my previous fippant comment about PAC12 refs (which I bravely stand behind), nothing would've changed the outcome. The only breakdown was the BC$ system which gave us that travesty. (nm)
