I don't get the hate for Mataipaepae's personnel questions

I enjoy his questions - in part because I love talking sports. I enjoy hearing different perspectives and speculating about "what ifs." I don't read his posts as him having an agenda or axe to grind. I know very few fans that don't wonder about personnel decisions. Whitt is a great coach, but he would surely admit that he is not infallible. That doesn't mean that Mataipaepae is right or knows more than Whitt about coaching, he is just a fan that makes observations and questions decisions like the rest of us do from time to time. To me, that is the fun of a fan message board. People should certainly respond with opposing viewpoints, but it seems unfair to attack him just for raising the question.
On a related note, I don't understand why people respond to a question about coaching decisions with "well, why aren't you coaching?" or "guess you should apply to be coach." We are fans. This is a message board. We question player and coaching decisions all the time - that is part of the fun. I know many of us questioned Gary Anderson's prevent (the win) defenses, but questioning a decision is not the equivalent of saying that we should be hired instead of him. I get frustrated when players commit penalties, miss a free throw, drop easy passes, make bad throws, etc., but that doesn't mean that I think I should be playing instead of them. It’s a given that the players and coaches are more qualified. After all, we are just fat fans.
