NEW: I don't know anything about Shumway, but out here in WI, I know a fair number of kids who want to go to BYU because they are afraid that UW-Madison is all about loud parties and beer. Really, they have no concept of what college is like.

NEW: Well, they are right to want to avoid binge drinking. Careers and even lives are ruined on college campuses that way. But they are wrong in thinking binge drinking is unavoidable at Madison (or similar campuses). (nm)
