Among their assertions:

A. Jay Omer was BYU's secret weapon and he alone was reason why Utah would never catch BYU in football.

B. Jay Omer possessed proprietary knowledge that others did not and basically invented the concept of the off-season workout.

C. BYU did not need to recruit speed because Jay Omer's incredible workout programs could "create" speed.

Ah, memories.

NEW: I heard similar statements years ago about Omer being a S & C 'guru', and he routinely turned down offers to work for schools like USC, Miami, Florida State, and Texas. Makes me laugh to think about it now. (nm)
