Larry's small miracle

I consider this past season a small miracle, considering what Boylen tried to do to the program on the way out, the ravages done to the roster the prior two years, and how long Larry had to slap a team together. One goal was to avoid an apocalyptic season like BYU experienced Reid's last year. CHECK. We won six, didn't take last in the Pac 12, and beat the eventual NIT champs.
Another goal was to end this recruiting season with prospects for fielding a respectable, competitive team. CHECK. Aaron Dotson was no. 45 ESPN 100, and an important player on LSU. Jordon Loverage is ESPN 96. The other players had respectable competing offers. Lenz was offered by Auburn and USC.
It's quite remarkable that the only messy personnel story is Herhily. But the story is coming out that he had a broken back, his dad went to the LA Times, last February Larry met with the family and tried to come to a resolution, sending the kid to prep school, etc.
As for the others, Larry says that the relations are excellent. When he recruited them, he told them it was likely a one year gig, if they surprised him it could be extended. The ones that left understood it was best for all.
Overall, a small miracle, and Larry apparently has misled no one, and dealt honorably with everyone.
