I need some advice from the Phoenix are Ute fans.

I have an opportunity to relocate with my current firm from Atlanta to Phoenix. I definitely want to get back to the West (closer to my SLC hometown, in PAC-12 country, out of the humid South and back to the desert, etc., etc.), but I'm not too familiar with Phoenix. I'd appreciate your thoughts good or bad on Phoenix and its surrounding areas. My office would be in downtown Phoenix (right next to the BO and I would prefer to limit my commute to no more than 30 minutes each way.

What are some nice areas to live? What is the quality of the public schools? What is the housing market like? How is the quality of life?

Any suggestions or comments about your experience living in the area would be much appreciated. Thanks.
