It's surprising how history seems to repeat itself.
1992: Utah scores 38 against Hawaii and then scores only 7 in a loss New Mexico.
1993: Utah scores 41 against kansas and then 12 in a loss to Wyoming and 17 in a loss to Idaho.
1994: Utah scores 52 over Utep awnd then 21 in a loss to New Mexico.
1996: Utes score 45 over Tulsa and then 10 in a loss to Rice.
1997: Utes score 56 over Utep and then 13 in a loss to Fresno.
In looking at the opponents, that does not explain why the Utes can score so much one week and be so pathetic the following week. It does look like a lack of mental toughness and a belief that you are better than you are. Let's hope the team realizes that they have yet to beat anything but bad football teams.
