The 34-31 Karma
In successive years, Utah's football team
beat it's archrival BYU by the score of 34-31. Scores in the annual battle
of good vs. evil normally become mantras, but as this one repeated itself
it was further empowered. The score, when encountered at any time in a
basketball game involving the Utes, will predict the final outcome. The
winner will be the one with 34.
This theory is currently being refined. It
is quite possible that games involving only Utah or BYU teams are affected
by this score.
