I was told that there was a message board where people could write whatever they wanted to about the Utah basketball program and its players and not even have to put their real name behind what they say. I guess it was true. Well my point of writing this was to give some real insight into the reasons I left so I don't have to be slammed with accusations of not being good enough to play here.

I guess I will start with the beginning. I chose to come play here over Oregon, Marquette, Wyoming, and UCSB for the sole reason of playing for Rick Majerus. When he and I talked at the beginning of the season expectations for me were very high. Some of you might have seen my performance or lack of at NWRU. I shouldn't have played in that game. I was in so much pain from tendonitis in my knees that I could not do anything out there but think about how much it hurt. Call it a mental weakness or what you want but I was in no condition to play. The next day I went to the doctors and decided to get my knees looked at.

Doctor Greis diagnosed me with the same problem Britton had earlier that year. He said there was no date of recovery from it but that whenever it was healed I could play again. It took until December for me to feel like I could get back into practice. Majerus decided that it was in my best interest to redshirt since I missed so much already.

I practiced with the team the rest of the year and my knees never healed completely. I had surgery last week on my knee and I am now recovering from that. I feel like Doctor Greis did a great job and the problem is fixed. In about 6 weeks I will be back to normal activity.

Some of you say that the reason I left is because I didn't want to work hard or I wasn't going to play. That is not true. The coaches were very happy with my work ethic and they were excited about the player I was becoming. They told me this frequently and so did Majerus. Majerus also told me that I was going to play a lot next year but I would not start. I would be the first player in for either Frost or Britton, whoever came out first. If that was a lie or wasn't we will never find out.

I guess this is getting longer than what I had anticipated so I will end it quickly. The bottom line for me leaving was my own personal happiness. I wasn't having fun and I didn't see anything changing for the future. I came to Utah for one reason and that was to play for Majerus. I realize now that there needs to be more reasons for going to a program than one because when you are not happy with the reason you came there then you are really not happy at all. I don't know if this sheds any light on the matter but if you want to know anything else you can e-mail me with your real name and I wll be glad to answer any questions.
