Did I miss something about BYU signing guard(s)? What signee ran Christiansen off? (more)

Dawes? Pinnegar? The looming shadow of Meads? The half season of Whiting? You know it isn't Knight! Further, can you name the guard in the above list? I find Christiansen's quote about Eddie Munster (eeeeer Steve Cleveland) not "encouraging" him to stay fascinating. Hasn't this primma donna already been recruited once by BYU? Should he expect them to re-recruit him every year? On the other hand, maybe we should just swap him for Whiting. TC has more D1 experience and can presumably make it through a whole practice, unlike that other turncoat.

P.S. Shouldn't Juddy being at the Y keep this sort of thing from happening to a kid who says that his dream has always been to play for BYU?

Christiansen, Cleveland, Judkins, Whiting - a plague on all your houses!
GO UTES!!!!!!!!!!!

Guard Congestion

With returnees Michael Vranes, Terrell Lyday, Nate Cooper and Matt Montague, along with transfers Trent Whiting, Travis Hansen and returning missionary Daniel Bobick, the guard position looks to be very congested. Since playing from his Freshman to his Junior Year, Todd never averaged over 6 points for a season at BYU. He was a great High School Player at Highland High and a terrific 3 Point Shooting threat off the bench for BYU, there's just not enough minutes in a game to get him the amount of playing time he wanted.

He'll do great at Westminster and I wish him the best of luck.

GO BYU!!!

That lineup reads more like constipation than congestion. PLEASE never post on this board in blue again (more uncalled for, degrading and small-minded insults below)

A regular murderer's row of guards there. I'm surprised the rest of the guards in the MWC aren't looking to transfer to non-d1 schools like TC, what with that juggernaut above heading onto the court next year. Look at it this way, they'll combine:

The classic shooting form of Montague (parents may want to avert the eyes of smaller children when he launches his next next brick rimward).

The cheetah-like grace and agility of Nate Cooper, along with that elevated basketball IQ the scrappy Cooper has displayed over the years.

The rugged determination and stick-to-itness of Turncoat Transfer Trent, along with his inspirational work ethic which should go far in inspiring his teammates to play through the pain during his half season at the Y.

The long awaited (by his parents at least) return of Daniel Bobick, that coveted recruit which the likes of Dick's Barber College and The Hungry Horse School of Mines are still stinging over losing out on.

The electrifying offense of Terrell "Latrey" Lyday which enabled the Cougar floor leader to carry his squad into the middle rounds of the NIT during the Y's relentless but ill-fated march toward the crown of 65th best team in the country this past season.

The introduction of Travis Hansen, soon to be known throughout the MWC as "that other Travis who plays guard for a school in Utah, not that one really good one at Utah, but that other one with the same first name." This moniker will quickly give way to a much shorter version "DNP".
