Our leader (Big Al) vs. Their leader (Wesley) -- What a contrast!

Compare: The game is tight, and the Utes go on a 21-6 run-- 10 of those points from Alex, plus innumerable blocks, picks, assists, etc. The guy just decided it was time. And notice-- he managed to do that without getting a technical or a flagrant foul called on him! Insteadm he simply plays the role of The Classy Assassin. He lets his game do the talking.

Can't say the same for our friend, the Thug from Provo. I haven't been one of those who's wanted to bash Mekeli Wesley, wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt, excuse him based on his age, immaturity, etc. No longer. He's a turkey. He does no honor to the game, to his team, to his church, or to to his own name, to play the way he does. I like Steve Cleveland, but lost respect for him when he left Wesley in after the flagrant foul. After all the talk Cleve gave the press about how Mekeli had to change, the coach had to take the guy out for 30 seconds just to maintain credibility. If Cleve has any guts, he'll make Wesley sit for the first couple of minutes of BYU's next game. What a disgrace the guy is! I'm glad we don't have anybody like that on the Ute side to apologize or make excuses for.

Disagree about Cleveland...

Cleveland is a classy guy and I'm pretty sure he doesn't condone what Weasley is doing.

I'm sure he will continue to work on things behing closed doors. Jonas made a good point, he might have taken him out if he had more depth. I put full blame on Weasley, not on Cleveland.

Maybe you're right, but . . .

I don't think he condones it, but he needs to show that a little better. 30 seconds out of the game for Wesley would have made a statement and might have even cooled the twerp off.
