Carlon had great athleticism and gave us some exciting moments, but after a few years in the program, didn't seem to be making significant advancement in court smarts. For every spectacular play, he had a few other plays where he gave up the ball trying to go 1 against 3 or threw the ball to the other team. His biggest problem is he tried to be Micheal Jordan instead of trying to be Carlon Brown. I think with Carlon, his senior season would very probably been about the same as the last 2 years.
Good Luck Carlon. I hope you have a successful senior season wherever you end up and urge you to complete your education and come away with a college degree.
With Hines however, we'll never know what contributions he may have made if he had stayed. He got a lot of playing time the last few weeks and seemed to show a lot of potential, but it appears that having little time on the court for the first 3/4 of the season frustrated him. I too wish him luck and hope his basketball and college experiences are both a success.
